The race to the 2026 World Series is heating up, with the Milwaukee Brewers taking control of the National League Championship Series and the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians locked in a tight American League battle.
For the Los Angeles Dodgers, Wednesday night could be a turning point. For Tampa Bay and Cleveland, the fight for the American League pennant resumes Thursday with the series tied.
Dodgers vs. Brewers: Los Angeles Under Pressure
The Dodgers return to Los Angeles trailing Milwaukee 2–0 in the NLCS after dropping both games on the road.
Milwaukee opened the series with a 2–1 victory before following it up with a 7–4 win in Game 2. The Brewers have put themselves in an excellent position, but the series is far from finished.
Los Angeles now faces its biggest challenge of the postseason. A loss in Game 3 would leave the Dodgers facing a 3–0 deficit, putting their hopes of another World Series appearance in serious jeopardy.
Shohei Ohtani remains one of the biggest names to watch. The Dodgers need their star-studded lineup to deliver, particularly with Milwaukee’s pitching staff proving difficult to handle.
Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, at 8:00 PM ET at Dodger Stadium.
Rays vs. Guardians: American League Battle Tied 1–1
The American League Championship Series is shaping up differently.
Cleveland opened the ALCS with a 7–3 victory over Tampa Bay, but the Rays responded with a 3–1 win in Game 2 on Tuesday.
Tampa Bay received a strong pitching performance from Freddy Peralta, who delivered six scoreless innings to help even the series.
The Guardians now return home with an opportunity to regain control. José Ramírez remains a key figure for Cleveland, particularly after his contributions during the team’s postseason run.
Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday, October 15, at 6:00 PM ET in Cleveland.
The Road to the World Series
Milwaukee has the advantage in the National League, but Los Angeles still has the offensive talent to turn the series around.
Meanwhile, Tampa Bay and Cleveland have already traded victories, setting up an important stretch of games in the American League.
With the World Series approaching, every inning carries more weight. The Dodgers need a response, the Brewers are looking to extend their lead, and the Rays and Guardians are fighting to take control of their series.
